BRAVESENTRY: Is it a Spyware?

         Marami sa ngayon ang naglalabasang spware programs na nagsasabing matutulungan nyang maiwasan magka-virus ang inyong computer.   Ngunit mag-ingat at huwag basta maniwala dahil karamihan sa mga ito ay siya mismong virus o di kaya'y nagbibigay ng maling info at nagkukunwang may virus ang computer mo para bumili ka ng software nila.

          Isa na rito ang Brave Sentry (website: http://www.bravesentry.com).  Huwag mong tangkaing i-install o bisitahin man lang ang website na ito dahil isa ito sa mga nagpapanggap. Napakahirap pa namang maalis ito pag na-install na sa PC mo.

         Ilan sa palatandaan na mayroon VIRUS ang PC mo ay: Una: ang wallpaper mo ay nawala at napalitan ng kulay itim at may message na ang PC mo raw ay may adware. Pangalawa: Ang firewall ng Windows XP ay nakadisable kahit di mo naman ito ginagawa. Pangatlo: maraming executable files sa root directory at system32 directory mo. Pang-apat: Maraming Start Up Program sa System Registry mo. Panlima: Madalas mag hang PC, mabagal ang galaw ang pag-access ng mga programs. Pang-anim: ang startup webpage mo ay di mo na mabago. Pampito: Naka-disable and Ctrl-Alt-Del at di mo na makita ang Windows Task Manager.

          Marami pang palatandaan upang malaman kung may Virus ang PC mo. Sa susunod na mga araw, pag-uusapan natin kung paano ito maaalis at maiiwasan.
